The LAPIS laboratory works on the development of methodologies for the planning, design, implementation, and management of industrial plants (or production systems).
The main research areas include the simulation of industrial processes, the development of social reports, the definition of environmental sustainability measurement systems and the management of industrial risks.
Design of complex production processes through dynamic simulation techniques.
Development and drafting of Social and Sustainability Reports according to standards (GRI - Global Reporting Initiative, Integrated Reporting Framework, etc.).
Development of systems for measuring the environmental performance of products, processes, and services through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analyses, also to be used as a scientific basis for product environmental certifications - EPD® (Environmental Product Declaration), and Climate Declaration.
Technical and regulatory support for the drafting of risk assessments in various industrial sectors in compliance with regulations (Legislative Decree 81/2008) and drafting of DVR, DUVRI.
Support for the assessment of reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety of machines through RAMS Analysis (reliability, availability, maintainability and safety) to ensure the correct operation of complex systems within a production context.
Support for the drafting of ESG Report (Environmental, Social, governance) for the assessment of environmental, social, and governance aspects.
Support for the design and implementation of Management Systems certifiable in the fields of Environment, Quality, Safety, and Social Responsibility according to the standards ISO 14001, EMAS, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, SA8000, ISO 26000.
Support for the design and development of transformation projects for companies through the use of technologies based on Artificial Intelligence and the Metaverse.
Support for the development of models for the analysis ofhuman reliability, of plants, of safety and for the management of risk in industrial and tertiary plants through specific protocols such as the Cognitive Reliability and Error Analysis Method (CREAM),
Behavior Based Safety (BBS) and the Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM).
